Vocabulary We Need

•Meme- an idea, behavior, or style that spreads from person to person within a culture
             - on the internet you can find a lot of memes

•Virus- a harmful or corrupting influence
          - The virus was spreading all throughout the patients body

•Viral- involving an image, video, piece of information, that is circulated rapidly and widely from one 
           internet user to another
         - The new meme was going viral all through social media

•Blog- website or web page, typically run by an individual or small group 
         - Her blog was creative, that the teacher gave her extra points

•Wiki- a website that allows collaborative editing of its content and structure by its users
          - Wiki helps you edit the information 

•URL- the address of a World Wide Web page
         - The URL is linked to my account 

•Website- a location connected to the Internet that maintains one or more pages on the World Wide
                  Web
              - The website she was on was very helpful

•WWW- World Wide Web is the part of the internet that contains websites and webpages 
           - through www you can easily access websites

•Internet- a global computer network providing a variety of information and communication facilities
              - We can communicate with people through the internet 

•2.0- used to denote a superior or more advanced version of an original concept, product, service
      - Students at least need a 2.0 to graduate high school

•Open Source- involves source code that is free to the public to copy, use, modify, and distribute 
                       - Google is an open source for everyone to use

•Technology- machinery and equipment developed from the application of scientific knowledge
                    - Most objects are made from technology
